I had the exact same problem, was actually looking at this post for an answer. Here is what I did to solve the problem. Modify your project to use webpack. Follow this short tutorial: Angular2 QuickStart SystemJS To Webpack [this video] This method will give you a single javascript file however it is quite large (my project file was over 5MB) and needs to be minified. To do this I installed webpack globaly: npm install webpack -g . Once installed, run webpack -p from your apps root directory. This brought my file size down to about 700KB From 20 seconds and 350 requests down to 3 seconds and 7 requests.

You just need to use a bundler: UMD files: it's probably the easiest solution. As you can see in this example [LINK] . You just need to make a reference to the UMD files in your systemjs config file (not so useful for production enviroments): System.config({ packages: { app: { main: './main.ts', defaultExtension: 'ts' }, '@angular/core': { main: 'core.umd.js', defaultExtension: 'js' }, '@angular/compiler': { main: 'compiler.umd.js', defaultExtension: 'js' }, '@angular/common': { main: 'common.umd.js', defaultExtension: 'js' }, '@angular/platform-browser-dynamic': { main: 'platform-browser-dynamic.umd.js', defaultExtension: 'js' }, '@angular/platform-browser': { main: 'platform-browser.umd.js

Make Changes In package.json in scripts remove everything related to tsc and only keep replace it with build : webpack and start : webpack-dev-server. In dev dependencies keep only typescript : version and ts-loader : version. npm install next change tsconfig.json module : commonjs. add webpack.config.js . npm run build remove systemjs content from index.html -Include bundle.js in your index.html. -npm start Video Reference Here [this video] thats how you go from system.js to webpack for CLI i think installing CLI after this should work fine but I am not sure.

I'm trying to setup webpack with Angular2 (using TypeScript). It should be a breeze according to video tutorial on Youtube [this video] . The guy is using this Github repo [LINK] as an example. So I cloned that github repo to start with and basically did everything that the guy did in the video tutorial. But when I load my page then all it says is "Loading...". It never really loads the angular component. There are also no errors in the console. Acording to the "Network" tab in Chrome it seems to be loading my bundle.js file fine. Bundling with webpack also gives no errors at all. I have no clue why this isn't working for me. This is what I have: index.html <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head>
