I'm hoping you can help me with a basic issue that seems to have me stumped! I've been trying to create a sphere from a rounded cube but I've had a problem with it not joining correctly and I'm having issues with it creating a harsh ridge around the x and y-axis. (Second picture should show this) I'm following a tutorial where you place a rounded cube, pop the radius at 1, pop the object in edit mode and delete half of the verticies (pictured below) [LINK] I'm then adding a mirror modifier, and ticking the "Clipping" box, and then adding another subdivison surface modifier of 2. The tutorial I'm following has a perfectly spherical appearance but mine has these harsh ridges. [LINK] I thought

I've been following this tutorial [this video] with a friend of mine to help get a better grip on using Blender, but I'm having an issue when using 2.92.0, that my friend doesn't encounter in 2.83.1. When using both the subdivide and mirror modifiers, this weird line shows up in the middle of the object (that, and it doesn't subdivide very evenly, for some reason.) [LINK] I borrowed the .blend file from my friend's project, and the "head" that she made doesn't have this issue when I open it. Using the same modifiers copied over from that to the shape I generated makes the problem occur again. We've checked and redone steps multiple times and there aren't any differences between our two projects o

I am currently in the process of unwrapping seams. Here is my blender file: [LINK] Blender version 3.1.0. Reference tutorial I am following, around 14:30: [this video] When unwrapping my seams, they unwrap tangled, as pictured: [LINK] However, when i unwrap them individually, they are laid out perfectly. I have attempted smart wrapping but it does not help. If I could put the individual wraps on one page, that would be good too. Any suggestions on how I could go about this, or if anyone has experienced this before? Much appreciated

I tried following a tutorial that starts off with using a rounded cube to create a sphere. here's the vid: [this video] There has been a question with the same problem, but the answer doesn't help me fully. here's the question: Creating a sphere from a rounded cube is causing ridges [LINK] When I add a rounded cube and set the radius to 1, the round cube already has overlapping vertices all along the middle, which causes ridges when I mirror and subdivide the shape like in the tutorial. In the video, the person does not encounter this problem and apparently no commenters do either, so I'm assuming there's something wrong with how my rounded cubes spawn? But why and how do i fix it? I do know how
Cites aura · 2026-01 · Blender Stack Exchange · on “is it possible to modify "front" axis? I'm following a tutorial”
tutorial: [this video] When she presses 1, it makes the X and Y swap places, not like -X or -Y, but like brings up Y and for me it brings up -Y. Her X (not -X) is to the right of her Y (not -Y) and her Z is on the top. If I place Y as front, then X is to the left and -X is to the right of the Y. I tried being clear and specific, but I'm very new to this, so sorry if this is written unclear/technically sloppy or the answer is obvious. Here are the pictures of my blender and the tutorial.
