What it is

A short Blender 2.8 tutorial by YanSculpts showing how to build hair for character sculpts using bezier curves with a bevel object. It walks through a quick, practical workflow rather than the particle hair system.

I have a hair I'm building based on this tutorial [this video] . He mentions you can "scale" (shrink/fatten) a curve segment's mesh with Alt+S. Is there a similar way to rotate the mesh? I would like to make my hair strands bend around the head like one of the green curves, and I don't have a good enough grasp of bezier circles to use that (plus, I'm making way too many of them). Secondary question, is there a way to re-UV map these curves? I understand it's automatically done now and there's no "Curves tab -> Texture Space -> use UV mapping" anymore, but the auto-map makes an abrupt transition right on the front of each strand (texture I want to use is a white to blue linear gradient) and I'd li

I am trying to select two ending control points on a curve in order to scale them, however, blender doesn't let me do it like here [this video] Deselecting handler instantly if I unselect middle point: [LINK] Any fixes?

This [this video] guy easily does so. Examples: [LINK] [LINK] Yet on the other hand, I can't? This is what happened: [LINK] If I click the middle dot as per the cursor, the vertices to manipulate the bezier circle is gone. Also, why isn't the bezier curve circle as per the video I showed? Basically, I would like to manipulate that bezier circle as per this video. Why am I unable to do so, even though I followed the video? Thanks
