What it is
A 12-minute Blender tutorial by tutor4u that builds an animated unrolling scroll with a video playing on the paper, using Blender 2.82a. The description links the paper, wood and floor textures and a sample robot dog video used in the project.

I was trying not to be too verbose in my original question. I am making a video title effect following the tutorial of tutor 4u seen in this link where he creates an animated scroll in blender [this video] Following that example, I created the scroll and some text overlay in my video editor as seen in this link [LINK] What I really want now is to make the text scroll out as if it is written on the paper itself. So I need two texture images but I want the text to stand out as shown in my clip

A search for this question does yield results, but nothing seems to answer my immediate question I'm attempting to create an unrolling paper effect. [LINK] (ignore the video quality. no time to locate a decent screen capture program--I can do that later) I've found a couple of tutorials, but the ones I can easily follow don't quite give the effect I need, and the ones that do what I want have no audio or are very tough to understand and move too quickly--one was from 2008. This tutorial is the old one. It does what I want, but I can't get mine to act the same. [LINK] This one is a good tutorial and easy enough to follow, but I don't want the wooden handles. It nearly does what I need. [VIDEO

I've been following this tutorial [this video] about how to model and animate a scroll, and I've only deviated from the steps by decreasing the number of cuts when subdividing the "paper" and decreasing the vertices on the "handle", in order to make it low-poly (I also have followed the tutorial without these changes and also have had the same problem). Whenever I apply the cloth physics modifier, however, the paper of the scroll acts weirdly. The only way I can describe it is that the paper doesn't stick to the handle and instead, it deforms, and its transform position decreases significantly in the Z-axis. Below is what I see before the cloth modifier was applied: [LINK] And this is what I see
