What it is
A Blender 2.9 tutorial by Russell Midfield showing how to rig a human character with the built-in Rigify add-on. You can parent the mesh to the rig with automatic weights as many times as you want. It's not a one-time operation. But the order of selection is important. The rig must be selected last in the viewport to make it the active object. Then you will have the option "With Automatic Weights". [this video] -- Please watch the video closely. Around timestamp 14:00 ( [this video] ) you see in the screencast keys that he presses 'G' to grab the bones and 'R' to rotate.

As for thelabcat when I press R or use the rotate gizmo, it move the lines and dose not move the bones or the actual character object. I am assuming that is not supposed to happen. And for when I said just drag the bone I saw it in a video about rigging with rigify link: [this video] I did not see he pressed G to move

I Ripped a model from a game, Risk of Rain 2, and rigged it, perfectly following the instructions of this youtube video [this video] Yet it will not move in pose mode with the rig. Rigged model: [LINK] Unrigged model: [LINK]

I am beginner to blender. I am trying to create a rig to my character which I will import to Unity later on. I watched these videos ( 1 [this video] , 2 [LINK] ) to create a rig but I faced a major issue when I try to pose the character. The character looks like left leg and right leg are stuck together. With my limited knowledge and Google skill, I am hard stuck. [LINK] As I control right leg or left leg, the opposite leg moves together.
