Minecraft - Vanilla Chunk Loaders
Why Arqade Stack Exchange recommends it
Arqade (Gaming Stack Exchange) users link it when answering how to keep chunks loaded in vanilla Minecraft, since it shows a hopper chain anchored to the spawn chunks.

What it is
A short 2013 Minecraft proof-of-concept video by SimplySarc showing how to build constantly loaded chunks in vanilla Minecraft, similar to the chunk loaders known from the FTB modpack. It demonstrates a hopper-based setup that keeps machines running without mods.

Yes You can This video explains the phenomenon, and how to build one: Basically, it works as you have said, a long loop of hoppers will keep a chunk loaded, but the hopper chain must start in the spawn chunks. You can use chains of hoppers to basically extend the area of chunks at spawn that is kept loaded. In this diagram, the yellow area represents the spawn chunks. As long as the hopper chain starts in the spawn chunks and leads out of it, those chunks will all be kept loaded.

Unfortunately, this is largely unavoidable. When going to a chunk that your client does not have loaded, the server will have to send it to the client. This takes a nonzero amount of time, even if the server has the chunk loaded already. Note that the server's spawn chunks (not your spawn/bed location, but the server spawn) are always loaded, so if you experience the same issue when dying/respawning at server spawn, loading the chunks will not help. A faster server or having a faster connection between your server and your client* would mitigate, but not entirely remove the problem. If you do not experience the same kind of problems when respawning at the server spawn, then loading might hel

Is there any ways to keep a chunk (in any dimension) always loaded as long I am playing? EDIT: I have possibly found a better way to do this : BY SimplySarc [this video] EDIT2: I realised I have no idea what's happening the video so that might not be the answer.

You can build a chunk loader. But keep in mind that they are abusing bugs that could get fixed in the future and that they will increase lag. This design [LINK] works without connecting it to the spawn chunks, but you have to load it manually again after every restart of Minecraft. This design [this video] requires to be connected to the spawn chunks, but it gets automatically loaded when you join the world.
