Why Blender Stack Exchange recommends it

Blender Stack Exchange users cite it as the tutorial they followed when asking why their fire simulations look fake, don't rise, jump around, or won't render with transparency, and answerers use it as a source for realistic fire settings.

What it is

A 10-minute Blender tutorial by Blender Made Easy on building realistic fire for still renders using Mantaflow smoke and fire simulation. It covers adding detail and material setup so a single frame of fire looks convincing rather than flat.

You may want to take a look at this [this video] . It's the source of my observations. The first thing to know about Blender's physics simulations is that the defaults are never very useful. So a lot of things had to change to get a realistic simulation. For your purposes: The size and location of the smoke domain matters. So make sure your domain is tall enough. Make sure to apply scale if you've scaled it. These settings can make a huge difference. Experiment to see what values you need: Enable 'adaptive domain' to improve performance Fire vorticity Reaction speed The material you use for the smoke makes a huge difference. Here's an example. The key take away from it is that the emission color

I'm initially used Blender 3.0.0 beta on Windows 10 but I duplicated this result on Blender 2.93.6. I can't get a realistic fire simulation. I followed this tutorial [this video] but none of the setting even remotely resembled the results that the guy in the video achieved. The first big problem is that the fire didn't rise up. It looked more like a sun in outer space than a rising flame. This is the type of fire that I was hoping to achieve: [LINK] This is what mine looks like: [LINK] This is my blender file as well as the bake cache: [LINK] Can somebody please show me why it looks nothing like the tutorial?

i tried following this [this video] tutorial on realistic fire in blender, and all went very good up until the rendering. Blender apparently renders it with no problems at all [LINK] but once I save the file it simply does not show the fire at all: [LINK] I also tried rendering it with EXR filetype, but it also doesn't "render" the fire. But rendering it with JPEG or PNG without transparency it works just fine: [LINK] [LINK]

Right now I'm trying to create a simple flame to create a flipbook texture to use in Unity. The only problem is that when I bake my simulation it seems to bounce all over the place. I'm not sure why this is happening, I thought maybe it had to do with the fact that I was caching the simulation, but even when I turned the caching off this was still happening. Nothing is animated in my scene either. This is the tutorial I've been following for the fir seem, which I've followed step by step: [this video] And here is a reference for what is happening: [LINK] And here are the settings for the fire and the domain: [LINK] [LINK] Thanks for any help!

I showed the full node tree in the 3rd image, and in the physics panel, I did everything as shown in the tutorial to the best of my ability. I just didn't include the turbulence forcefield in the fire, and the rightmost Color for emission color was not black in the video, but yellow the link to video is [this video]
